Which is a reminder that too many widgets can make your site a pain in the RSS to load if their site suddenly goes down.
UPDATE: TRati is still down, so I've temporarily removed all their widgets. So the blog should load fine now.
Nother UPDATE: TRati is back up now, so I've put everything as it was.

One of the features I wrote into my Technorati WordPress plugin was a cache. If Technorati doesn't respond, I simply post the cached value. I'm surprised they didn't have the insight to build that into their own widgets.

If I knew what I was doing I'd start my own blog search - there is such a wide open door for something that actually WORKS. I've been using Zuula lately - while it's great it painfully points out the shortcomings of each blog search, but at least its all in one place and requires minimal effort on my part!
