'Z-Lister' update

Well it seems the 'Z-Lister' meme is having the desired affect, as several of you have emailed me to tell me that your blog traffic is up, and that your links are up as well. I decided to check on the 5 blogs I linked to originally, and see how many links each had gotten since Tuesday:

Shotgun Marketing Blog(31)
BrandSizzle(30)
bizsolutionsplus(25)
Customers Rock!(23)
Being Peter Kim(24)

Not bad for 3 days! Also several of you have emailed and left comments saying you had added your own entries to the list. I'm going to try to add everyone from the lists I could find, so this might be a doozy....

So there you go! If you're late to the game and want to play, simply cut and paste the long list above into a blog post, then add whatever blogs you want of your own, and that's it! Then whoever reads your post can repost your list, and add any blogs they want, and it continues to snowball from there! You're doing your part to bring attention to blogs that deserve it, and turning Technorati's 'authority' rankings on its ear ;) And you'll more than likely get a whole slew of new links and a nice traffic bump too. Everyone wins!

This has been a great exercise! I wonder if we could do this on a regular basis to promote blogs that are great finds but not well-known.

Hey Mack,

Thanks for the link, this seems to be taking on a life of it's own.

Joe

FYI I copied and pasted your list and the text comes up white, not good for any light colored background.

This has been fun, Mack! Thanks for doing this and thanks for including me. I posted the updated list in my original post. Thanks to all the bloggers who participated!

Many thanks for the link love Mack. What a great way to show the power and failure of Technorati.

Proud to be a Z-lister, Mack. To follow on Nick's comment, this shows the power of your blog and its readers. The traffic, the recognition and the "link love" are all appreciated...and will be reciprocated.

Always appreciate a little link love, thanks!

Mack- Thanks for listing my Shut Up and Drink the Kool-Aid site. Now I guess I have to get some fresh content up... dang.

This is another wonderful Mr. Community exercise. Thank you for this.

Doug this has been one of my favorite 'projects', and the reason why I originally created the 'Viral Community News' series, to bring attention to new blogs I had discovered, as well as great posts from my favorite reads.

BTW Tim you deserve a link based on the great blog name alone ;)

Mack,

I owe you one. My links have jumped thanks to you. I hope those I added on my blog have had similar success.

Thanks again; the tag line for the blog actually came from when I was working in cycling retail. One of the reps for our biggest brand at the time was so brainwashed by the company's marketing, that it was laughable. Whenever he walked in the door we all moaned, "it's time to shut up and drink the Kool-Aid."

Great idea Mack. I've updated my post as well to spread the love further down the line. Congrats on a great idea and thanks for the mention.

Happy to see the ones I put out there on my list at Instigator Blog showing up on top. Andy, Joe, Austin and the others all deserve the attention...

I think this'll just keep growing and growing...as it should!

Thanks for getting it started Mack.

Hi Mack--

I've gotten 8 links since Gavin Z-listed me 4 days ago! I'm really happy about that. I hope they keep on coming.

I just posted my own Z-list on my blog along with your gargantuan updated master Z-List, so hopefully if everyone chips in we can all see massive results.

At any rate, it feels good to recognize our favorite blogs, even if those blogs aren't sitting at the tippy top of Tehcnorati.

Cheers,
Sharon

Mack: This once again proves why you are "Mr. Community". I am so impressed with the heart that has gone into...and continues to go into...this initiative. And of course how it has brought the 'sphere--and marketers--together.

Thanks so much for being You (and I don't mean that in any "Time" sorta way :-).

The jump in technorati rank has been amazing. This has reached much farther than I would have ever guessed. The power of links.
