A big step toward the top

Thanks to Toby at Diva Marketing for featuring me in this weekend's Blogger Stories. You definitely need to check out Blogger Stories, a GREAT idea by Toby to let bloggers tell their 'blogging story'. Fascinating reading!

If that wasn't enough, I'm now a member of the 'Marketing 2.0 A-Team'!

HEADLINE: BLOGGER MACK COLLIER NOW WRITES FOR EVERY SINGLE BLOG KNOWN TO MAN

--The Associated Press
Florence, AL
6/5/06

Blogger Mack Collier today sealed his domination over the blogging world by signing on as co-writer of "Kayla's Journal," the only known blog that Collier was not previously a part of.

"I'm so happy to have Mack on board," said Kayla Johnson, 14, and a sophomore at Salt Lake City High. "He contributes so much here. I hadn't even posted in six months, but when Mack signed on, the place just came alive."

Still, the signing of Collier hasn't been viewed completely positively by all in the blogosphere. "Mack's posts on Musical Ramblings have gone down from 20 a day to a mere 15," said fellow blogger J.D. Matthews. "I don't know how he sleeps at night."

"Collier is a bastard," says celebrated blogger Seth Godin, whose blog and entire enterprise were single-handedly brought down by Mr. Collier's railings against him, which were subsequently parlayed over to every blog known to man. "I hope he rots in hell."

From here, Collier is expected to move on to blogs that will be created tomorrow, including Jimmy's Wide World of Ants and a revival of the classic blog This Parachute is a Knapsack. Collier is still in negotiations to join a post about Jessica Sierra, which is widely considered to be the best post by any blogger ever not named Mack Collier.

In other news, today, Mars and Venus exploded, but the sheer volume of Mack's blogs padded the Earth from crashing into the Sun.

I've enjoyed Blogger Stories for some time. I think we hear a lot of people's stories all over the place, but Toby's put them together and the format is such that you really get a good feel for the impact of blogging on people's lives. I think some bloggers might not feel comfortable expressing the impact of blogging on their own blogs - so Toby's giving them an outlet for that.

And the stories are quite varied, which is great.

J.D -- that's a great/hysterical press release! If that finds its way into a blog post somewhere, watch the viral action take off on fake press releases about big-time bloggers. Hhhmm...

The wheels are turning Mack...sorry if they're too loud!

I've already contacted J.D. as the instigator of the wheel-turning and we'll see where things take me.

Good deal, personally I love it when wheels turn, and bloggers blog about it ;)

Dear goodness. Pretty soon the internet is simply going to be divided into "Mack Collier" and "Not Mack" halves.

Could be worse. :)
