A few more notes from SBMU

A couple of final notes on Small Business Marketing Unleashed:

First, Abby and Kamilla at WebProNews did a pair of video interviews with me in Houston, and here's the first one. I'll post the second as soon as it goes live on their site:

Second, here's my slides from my Blogging For Business presentation at SBMU. I know they aren't the prettiest you've ever seen, but I mentioned several resources and bloggers during the presentation that I wanted to link to here:

Thanks guys, Jennifer Laycock was on Twitter telling CK about the pic of her 'tackling' Arun a few minutes after it popped up in the presentation ;)

Mack, thanks for picking quotes that make me sound intelligent. It's easier to find the ones that don't, so thanks for taking the time to dig around.

Great presentation and thanks again for using me as an example- I'm always flattered when I get to be the "good" example instead of the "bad" example.

Mack, tom from Kodak here. We are always happy to be in the good exmaple camp too! -tom

Tim when have you ever been the 'bad' example? Well at least not publically ;)

Tom thanks for stopping by, I used A Thousand Words as an example of a company blog that nails the content, by focusing on photography, instead of Kodak's cameras. Great example of positioning the content from the reader's point of view, not the company's.

Thanks for sharing the presentation, Mack. And despite what Tim says, he is a great example of how and why corporate blogging can work.

Mack- Well, my mom uses me as the "bad" example in front of my brother and sisters. But, as the oldest, I've always been the example.

Gavin- You're too kind, mate. I just do what I do because it's all I can think of to do... if that makes any sense at all.

Tim is a great example because he can actually speak from the company side on how blogging and social media can impact an organization. The first-hand example resonates much better with others than a social media consultant using Tim as an example.

Excellent preso. Will definitely be forwarding this to some of my compadres at work.

And thanks for using one of my pieces in the deck. Glad to be among such a list of names.
