Business as usual, the winners keep winning, the losers....Duct Tape Marketing jumps back in front of Gaping Void at #2. While DTM, GV, and CPU continue to stay in their narrow 17,000-20,000 Alexa band, Marketing Shift and Daily Fix continue to march upward. Since CPU entered the Top 4, no other blogs have come close to the top quartet, and it will be interesting to see if either MS or DF can make a run at them.
#7-#12 were all down, #13-#18 were all up. That could lead to some big shakeups if the trend continues. Clyde Smith's Pro Hip-Hop Marketing has a nice Alexa move and jumps 2 spots. BMA is on the verge of being eliminated, but thankfully Paul McEnany's Hee-Haw Marketing has joined up, so I'm sure we'll see BMA begin to rise (ahhh nothing like pressure).
Congrats to Nedra Weinreich, who's Spare Change marketing blog enters the countdown at #24. Nedra make sure to pick up your Top 25 logo!
Next update is next Wednesday.

Hee Haw Guaranty: BMA will overtake Seth within 2 weeks. All I need to do is shave my head and write a few books, right? :)
Now that's some pressure!
Woohoo! I've joined the elite ranks of blogdom. I'll try not to let it go to my head. Thanks, Mack!
Paul just mention stuff like 'The key to successful marketing, is to have marketing that's a success'. Wait....I think you have to be an A-Lister to pull off something like that. That excludes all of us, except "David", of course.
Congrats Nedra, I'm sure this is just the start!
I used to do blog marketing for a living couple of years ago but now co-own a coffeehouse. Alexa wasn't a big deal back then - and I guess I don't understand it today.
Here's why:
1) Blog A: Haven't posted to it in several weeks. Basically shut it down in early summer. Was linked to by 29 blogs according to Technorati. Alexa rating has gone up 424,000 positions past three months(now in top 1.5 million Alexa rankings).
2) Blog B: Post to it every day. Is linked to by 54 blogs - including some on your list. Still, the site has dropped more than 600,000 spots in past three months (now around 1.9 millionth place in Alexa ranking). This, despite daily traffic increasing by 50% in past six months.
Go figure. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not dependent on Alexa rankings for revenue.
Any ideas on that?
Rich a general rule of thumb with Alexa is, the higher your ranking, the more likely that Alexa isn't accurately reporting your traffic/page views. In fact Alexa says on their website that any ranking higher than 100,000 shouldn't be considered reliable. That's why I've said all along that it should be just a guide, like Technorati or anything else. Then again the flipside is, the closer your ranking is to 1, the more accurate Alexa will be for your traffic.
And I will add that for rankings over a million, it's usually not even close to accurate. Because many of these sites might only have a handful of visitors a day, and the results can be wildly off with that small a number.
I would love to throw my site into the mix: CenterNetworks (http://www.centernetworks.com) - Thanks! -- Allen
